The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya, together with its partners, is organizing the DesignPécs program series for the eleventh time, taking place in Pécs between October 8–19, 2025, under the motto “Design Interweaves Pécs.”In 2025, DesignPécs will also be connected to the prestigious nationwide Budapest Design Week, whose theme this year is Fluid Boundaries.

The motto of Budapest Design Week is Fluid Boundaries. Its 2025 theme focuses on the blurring and continuous transformation of distinctions between materials, technologies, media, and roles. It highlights what happens when creators move beyond familiar frameworks – and their works enter new territories such as hybrid objects, collective exhibitions, or participatory experiences. The intertwining of artificial intelligence and traditional crafts, or the permeability between artistic disciplines, all point to one thing: design today is not only about form, but about mindset.Fluid Boundaries encourages stepping outside the comfort zone and seeking new opportunities – openness, experimentation, and shaping the future.

KIKK Association – for Creative Communities

For more than a decade, the KIKK Association (Creative Industry Cluster Public Benefit Association) has been working to connect, support, and give visibility to the creative industries of Pécs and Baranya. Our main goal is to build bridges between professions, businesses, and artistic fields – from designers and artists to technology experts and educators.

For us, design is not only about form, but also about mindset, innovation, and community building. With our programs, we aim to provide space for experimentation, dialogue, and collaborations that contribute to strengthening Pécs’s creative energy.
