The University of Sopron has joined the Creative Industries Cluster!
The connection between creative industries and wood industry innovation has reached a new level: the University of Sopron has officially joined the Creative Industries Cluster ! The cooperation is a special milestone for both parties, as the outstanding knowledge base and expertise of the University of Sopron can greatly contribute to the development of the cluster, while the cluster opens up new opportunities for the university in the field of innovation and industrial relations.
The partnership was sealed with a solemn signing ceremony, attended by Prof. Dr. Attila Fábián , Rector of the University of Sopron, and Prof. Dr. Balázs Kósa , Vice-Dean of the university. The event also symbolically expressed our commitment to the cooperation, as the University of Sopron enters the cluster not only as a university, but also as a key player in the domestic wood industry and sustainable forestry .

The relationship between the university and the cluster began in connection with the DRWO4.0 project , which focuses on the digitalization of the wood industry and innovative solutions. However, the cooperation is about much more than that: we are thinking about a long-term partnership, in which research, education and industrial relations all play a role. The cluster provides an opportunity for students and researchers of the university to get even closer to the creative industry players, work on joint projects and gain market experience.

After the signing, we took the delegation from the University of Sopron to the Kodály Center to show them this unique cultural and architectural asset. The connections between the creative industry and the university were also evident here, as the inspiring environment and professional collaborations could open up new opportunities in the future.

With the joining of the University of Sopron, the Creative Industries Cluster will be further strengthened and will be able to place even greater emphasis on deepening the links between industry and education. We are confident that the joint work will open up new opportunities not only for wood industry innovation, but also for creative industry players.

We thank the University of Sopron for their trust and look forward to our joint projects! 🚀
